Thoughtful Psychiatric Care Across Colorado
Resilient Mind Clinic provides collaborative, evidence-informed psychiatric care for Colorado adults who want more than a quick prescription or one-size-fits-all treatment plan. I specialize in antidepressant and benzodiazepine tapering, thoughtful medication management, and oral ketamine prescribing for clients participating in KAP with their own therapist.
Whether you’re in a busy city or a remote mountain community, you can access care through secure telehealth appointments grounded in curiosity, compassion, and respect for your goals.
Antidepressant and Benzodiazepine Tapering in Colorado
Coming off psychiatric medication can be more complicated than simply lowering the dose and stopping. Many clients reach out after a previous taper moved too quickly, withdrawal symptoms were misunderstood, or they struggled to find a prescriber willing to support a slower process.
I provide personalized psychiatric medication tapering for Colorado adults who want to reduce or discontinue antidepressants, SSRIs, SNRIs, or benzodiazepines. Depending on your medication and history, your plan may incorporate hyperbolic tapering principles, the Ashton Method, the Oregon Benzodiazepine Tapering Guide, and current evidence-informed guidance.
Tapering support may include:
A comprehensive review of your medications and previous tapering experiences
Gradual, individualized dose reductions
Hyperbolic antidepressant tapering when appropriate
Benzodiazepine tapering informed by established clinical guidance
Monitoring for withdrawal symptoms and psychiatric stability
Liquid or compounded medication formulations when clinically appropriate
Adjustments based on how you respond
Collaboration with your therapist or other healthcare providers
There is no universal tapering timeline. The goal is not to stop medication as quickly as possible—it is to create a thoughtful plan that can adapt to your nervous system, symptoms, and life circumstances.

Thoughtful Psychiatric Medication Management
Medication can be an important and sometimes life-changing part of mental health treatment. But thoughtful psychiatric care shouldn’t automatically mean adding another prescription every time something feels off.
Medication-management appointments may include:
Comprehensive psychiatric assessment and medication review
Evaluation of side effects and medication effectiveness
Review of polypharmacy and overall medication burden
Thoughtful prescribing when medication is appropriate
Simplifying medication regimens when possible
Education about benefits, risks, and alternatives
Consideration of sleep, movement, nutrition, stress, and substance use
Collaboration with your therapist and healthcare team
The goal is to find the least complicated, most effective plan possible while supporting meaningful change outside the prescription bottle.

Oral Ketamine Prescribing for KAP in Colorado
For eligible adults participating in KAP, I provide psychiatric assessment, oral ketamine prescribing, education, and medical follow-up through telehealth. I do not provide psychotherapy during KAP. Preparation, dosing support, psychotherapy, and integration are provided by your therapist.
If you already have a Colorado therapist who offers KAP or integration support, I can collaborate with them as the prescribing member of your treatment team. With your permission, we coordinate care so that the medical and therapeutic parts of your treatment remain connected.
Ketamine is not appropriate for everyone. A comprehensive psychiatric and medical assessment is required before prescribing, and additional records, laboratory testing, or medical clearance may be requested.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are all appointments provided through telehealth?
Yes. Psychiatric assessments, medication-management visits, prescribing appointments, and follow-ups are completed through a secure telehealth platform. You must be physically located in Colorado at the time of your appointment.
Can you help if a previous antidepressant taper was too fast?
Yes. Many clients seek support after experiencing withdrawal symptoms during a previous taper. We can review what happened, assess your current situation, and discuss whether a slower or modified approach may be appropriate.
Do you offer hyperbolic antidepressant tapering?
Yes. I use individualized hyperbolic tapering principles when clinically appropriate. Reductions may become progressively smaller as the dose decreases, and the plan can be adjusted based on your symptoms and response.
Do you provide benzodiazepine tapering?
Yes. I provide individualized benzodiazepine tapering informed by established resources such as the Ashton Method, the Oregon Benzodiazepine Tapering Guide, and current clinical guidance.
Can you prescribe ketamine if I already have a therapist?
Yes. I provide psychiatric assessment, oral ketamine prescribing, education, and medical follow-up for eligible clients whose therapist provides KAP, preparation, or integration support.
Do you provide psychotherapy during KAP?
No. I serve as the psychiatric prescriber. Your therapist provides the psychotherapy, preparation, and integration portions of KAP.
Do you accept insurance?
Resilient Mind Clinic is a private-pay practice and does not accept insurance. Superbills may be provided for possible out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your benefits.
